What we collect

Away Game collects only what it needs to run the service. That means:

• Your display name (chosen when you join a trip)
• A session token stored in a cookie for anonymous authentication
• Trip data you create: destinations, votes, comments, expenses, itinerary items

What we don't collect

• Email addresses (optional and not required)
• Passwords
• Location data
• Contacts or phone numbers

How we use your data

Your data is used to provide the trip planning service. That's it. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't build marketing profiles.

Third-party services

Away Game relies on a small number of third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Anthropic — powers the AI chat assistant for trip planning suggestions
• Wikipedia / Wikimedia — provides city images for destinations

Data retention

Trip data is kept for as long as the trip exists. The trip organizer can delete a trip at any time, which removes all associated data including destinations, votes, comments, and expenses.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie (away_game_session) for anonymous authentication. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party cookies.
